You can choose from brick and mortar or online shop. Today I’ll be going over an online shop.
Fill in your personal information such as your name, address, etc. This will also help you determine your currency and tax rate.
Next, Shopify will ask how much you plan to sell, and if you are already selling.
Step 2: Add Products
When at the Shopify Dashboard, you’ll have a step by step process to set up your store. First, you’ll be asked to add a product.
Fill in the details of your product. This includes a title, photos, description, and price. Include as many details as you want in order to sell your product.
Step 3: Customize your theme
At the main dashboard, you can customize the look of your site by choosing your own colors and possibly including a logo.
In the “Theme Store” you can find free or paid themes. Select a theme that matches your taste.
Step 4: Decide on your domain name
Now that you have chosen a good looking theme, enter your desired domain name for your website!
At the Shopify Dashboard, click “add a domain”. You can either transfer an old domain or create a new domain. Purchase the domain. Now you can determine which payment plan you are going with.
After activating this, see if your website works by entering in your URL in the search bar!
Step 5: Payment Processor
Find “Payments” on your dashboard. You can choose from several different payment processors like Stripe or Authorize.net, or use Shopify’s own payment processor. After you’ve set up your payment processor, you can direct your income to that account after you make sales.
After all 5 steps have been completed, launch your website! You can now sell your products to your customers. From this point you can fulfill customer orders and mail it to them.
